After Delhi 6 (2009), he'd been declining but still gave a noteworthy film per year (Rockstar, Jaane Tu, Raanjhana, Highway), but since Tamasha (2015), even great Hindi songs (forget full soundtracks) have been rare

It's got standard Scorsese themes of criminal machinations, nonchalant depravity, cynical violence, tragic betrayal, poignant guilt, & unbridled ambition in his typical sweeping style with an ensemble cast & epic setting.

Wish the dialogues were more 'local' (a lifelong-Konkani Kamat says 'bambai', a Dadar-native Maharashtrian says 'dikkat'). The song in the fort didn't sound local too.

Too indulgent in a couple of places. And what's with the name 🤔.
